Only 4 days until the phenomenal trad quintet Goitse come to Dún Uladh for a fantastic night of music, brimming with zeal, finesse and that terrific trad energy!
It is the only Ulster date on the band's calendar, so Dún Uladh are delighted to have them to the stage!
The critically acclaimed band is fronted by World and All-Ireland winning bodhrán player, Colm Phelan and Conal O'Kane one of the finest trad guitarists of his generation. Joining them is All-Ireland piano champion and accordionist, Tadhg Ó Meachair, string instrumentalist, Alan Reid and Ulster's own Áine McGeerey who boasts a sweet, charismatic voice and plays the fiddle with splendour.
Certainly the star-studded giants of the trad scene, Goitse's distinctive sound lies in the quality of their own compositions, interspersed with traditional tunes from the countryside of Ireland and abroad, making each performance unique.
